Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 19-06-2026
Spaced Repetition ("the App") is developed and maintained by Alessandro Pace ("we", "our", or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and store your information when you use the App.
We value your privacy and aim to ensure your data is protected and used only in ways that align with your expectations.
1. General Information
Spaced Repetition is a productivity app designed to help users improve their study routines through spaced repetition, study session tracking, and review scheduling.
As the sole developer, I am committed to safeguarding your privacy and making sure your data is handled securely.
2. Storage and Syncing of Data
All user-created study data within Spaced Repetition is stored locally on your device and synchronized across your devices using Apple’s iCloud service.
More specifically, the App uses CloudKit, which stores your data in your private iCloud database. This means your study data remains under your control and is not stored on our own servers.
Data Types Stored
The App may store the following types of data:
Study session logs, times, schedules, and notes.
Subjects, topics, review intervals, and related study information.
User settings and preferences related to the App.
Your data remains in your iCloud account, which means you retain ownership and can manage or delete it through the App or Apple’s iCloud settings.
3. Protection of Personally Identifying Information
Spaced Repetition does not transmit your personal study data, notes, subjects, topics, or session logs to our own servers.
Your study data is stored locally on your device and, when enabled, synchronized through your private iCloud account using Apple CloudKit.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. Anonymous Product Analytics
We use Mixpanel to understand how users interact with the App so we can improve the product, identify confusing flows, and make better design and feature decisions.
Analytics collected through Mixpanel are anonymous and are used only to understand general behavior inside the App.
Examples of anonymous interaction data may include:
Opening the App.
Creating a subject or topic.
Logging a study session.
Completing onboarding steps.
Using certain features or screens.
Interacting with buttons, settings, or review scheduling features.
We do not use Mixpanel to collect personal study content. This means we do not send your subject names, topic names, notes, study content, or personal identifiers to Mixpanel.
We also do not collect or store your IP address, country, precise location, name, email address, or any personally identifying information through Mixpanel. Analytics are based on anonymous behavior only and are used solely to improve the App.
5. Payments and Subscriptions
To process in-app purchases and manage subscriptions, we use RevenueCat, a third-party service.
RevenueCat helps us manage subscription status, purchase history, and access to premium features.
RevenueCat may process information such as:
Subscription status, such as active, expired, or trial period.
Purchase history, such as previous purchases or subscriptions.
Transaction information necessary to process payments and subscriptions.
This data is used only for subscription management, payment processing, and providing access to premium features in the App.
We do not use RevenueCat to collect your study data, notes, subjects, topics, or session logs.
For more information about how RevenueCat handles data, please review RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
6. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
Apple iCloud and CloudKit
Used to store and sync your study data across your devices through your private iCloud account.
RevenueCat
Used to manage in-app purchases, subscriptions, purchase history, and premium access.
Mixpanel
Used to collect anonymous in-app interaction analytics so we can improve the App. We do not send personal study content, IP address, country, precise location, name, email address, or personally identifying information to Mixpanel.
7. Security
We take security seriously. By relying on Apple’s CloudKit infrastructure and iCloud services, your study data benefits from Apple’s privacy and security protections.
While no online service can guarantee complete security, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data remains private and secure.
8. Your Data Rights
Because your study data is stored locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account, you have control over it.
You can:
Access and manage your data directly within the App.
Delete your study data within the App.
Delete App data through your iCloud account settings.
Disable iCloud syncing for Spaced Repetition in your iOS settings.
9. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated policy.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
